Celebrating 70 years
This year Bayley House proudly celebrates 70 years of supporting adults with intellectual disability.
This celebration belongs to you, us and everyone in our community.
Earlier this year, we invited clients to create a logo to commemorate this milestone. Many amazing entries were received that captured different elements of Bayley House. After shortlisting 3 entries, a vote resulted in the winning logo above, designed by Katherine Mansour.
A Strong foundation
1951 saw a group of parents band together in order to find a space for their children, and so Bayley House was born. From the humble beginnings as a school through to our Brighton vocational facility, woodwork workshop, Martin St retail outlet, Noyes St educational facility, many community locations and most recently Hampton East hub, Bayley House has been an organisation that has supported and nurtured hundreds of clients and their families over the past 70 years.
What we have achieved together
Thank you for your part in helping to build Bayley House to become the highly regarded support provider well known across the Bayside community and broader disability sector. Now it is time to celebrate that achievement and look to the future. We look now to how we can continue to support our ever-growing community.
We currently provide exceptional client services for over 200 adults with intellectual disability. Our service is holistic and includes programs of support, accommodation options, recreational and social opportunities, community experiences, skill-building, and advocacy for people with disability.
The future
With 70 years of support, experience and impact in the lives of people living with intellectual disability, we invite you to join us as the next chapter of our journey unfolds, in what we imagine will be a uniquely Bayley House way – with lots of cheer!
Our longevity is certainly not something we take for granted and so we would like to thank you for the role you have played in our story with this small gift featuring artwork from creative designers that will bloom into a symbol of our gratitude.
Thank you!
