Celebrating the First Step: Co-Designed SDA Homes

A few weeks ago, we fired up the BBQ at one of our Short Term Accommodation (STA) houses to celebrate something truly special—the beginning of an exciting journey toward a BlueCHP forever home for three families. More than just a meal, this gathering was a chance for future housemates to meet, laugh, and start building the kind of friendships that turn a house into a home.

Through our partnership with BlueCHP, a trusted provider of Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), these clients are taking the first steps toward securing purpose-built, high-quality homes designed to support their independence. With land already secured and planning well underway, this BBQ wasn’t just a social gathering—it was the first step in creating a future filled with choice, connection, and belonging.

Our STA friendship bookings are a key part of this journey, providing a fantastic opportunity for potential housemates to experience shared living in a supportive setting before making the big move. By spending time together, they can build relationships, develop routines, and practice independent living skills—helping to ensure a smooth and confident transition into their forever home.

This was more than just a BBQ. It was the start of a new chapter—one of friendship, independence, and the creation of homes where each person can truly thrive.
