Celebrating Art, Community, and Generosity

Around Bayley Fundraising

We were thrilled to recently host our Annual Gala Art Show and Thank You event recently at Bayley Arts.

The night was a celebration of creativity, talent, and community. The event was a showcase of the incredible work created by our artists and a heartfelt thank you to our supporters who make everything we do possible.

The evening began with a warm welcome to all our guests, including Deputy Mayor Cr. Debbie Taylor-Haynes and Cr. Andrew Hockley, who represented Bayside City Council. We were honoured to have them join us in celebrating the achievements of our artists and the ongoing impact of the work we do at Bayley House. A wonderful Acknowledgement of Country was read out by Jacqui followed by an incredible impromptu opening speech by Alex and an artist reflection by Hayley.

This year’s exhibition took a slightly different approach. Instead of a set theme, Bayley Artists were encouraged to submit works that reflected their own interests, personal stories, and unique styles. The result is an extraordinary collection that truly highlights the diversity of voices within our community. We are beyond excited for you to experience this powerful and inspiring display of talent.

A Night of Gratitude and Reflection

The evening was also a time for us to express our deepest gratitude to all of you – our donors, volunteers, and community supporters – who continue to make a difference in the lives of adults with intellectual disability. Thanks to your generosity, we have been able to create this incredible arts facility, purchase essential program materials and equipment, and maintain our accommodation and facilities to ensure the best possible environment for our clients.

When you visit the exhibition, we hope you will feel a deep sense of pride in the work that has been created. It is important to note that the materials used in many of the pieces have been made possible through generous donations.

A Vision for the Future

Thanks to unwavering support from our community, we have been able to achieve so much over the years. The Gala exhibition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our artists, staff, and supporters. We look forward to continuing to build on this momentum and providing even more opportunities for our talented artists to shine.

Thank you again for your continued support. We hope you enjoyed the show and feel as inspired and proud as we do about the beautiful work created by our artists.
