Around Bayley

At Bayley House Short Term Accommodation, we provide more than just a getaway.

We offer NDIS supported activities designed to help you build independence, grow your skills, and explore new experiences in a safe and welcoming environment. We call it Bayley Stays, where every visit is a step toward achieving your goals.

Alisha recently tried her first Bayley Stay, and it was such a positive experience that she has already booked in for another weekend.

During her stay, Alisha not only sharpened her cooking skills, but also gained confidence in budgeting, cleaning, and planning her own meals – all essential independent living skills. We caught up with her to learn why her Bayley Stay was a game changer.

How many times have you stayed at Short Term Accommodation?

I’ve been twice so far.

Why did you want to try Short Term Accommodation?

My friends were already going there and sometimes it’s nice to have a break. This is a good way to see if I want to move out of home.

What’s the best thing about staying?

I get to be with my friends. I get to go out, to all different places. My favourite place has been the aquarium.

What do you like about the most about the house?

The staff are lovely and they help you if you need it. I get my own room and it’s really nice to have my own space. I might try cooking in the big kitchen

If someone wanted to try staying, what would you tell them?

Just try it out and maybe go with your friends.

Anything else you want to share about your stay?

The staff were lovely and I had fun, I enjoyed it. I’m going back soon and I’m looking forward to that.
