Brilliant Bayley Birds

Now in their 49^th year of supporting Bayley House, the Bayley Birds have again made a significant contribution through the donation of essential furniture items for our High Support Area.

Through funds raised in previous years, the Bayley Birds have been working closely with Bayley House to contribute to an area that is in need of upgrades and enhancements. It was identified by staff that there was a significant need for new furniture in the High Support Area. This furniture not only provides a warm, comfortable and welcome environment, but also has a range of health benefits for our clients. This includes:

• Self regulation benefits
• Sensory input benefits
• Enables clients to be seated outside of their wheelchairs comfortably
• Reduces strain
• Promotes circulation
• Assists with posture
• Supports mood regulation.

The Bayley Birds enabled these benefits through the purchase of couches, recliners and Kloud Sacs for Bayley House. Kloud Sacs are a therapeutic, safe and comforting foam filled sac for people with disability.
