Adult Training & Support Services
Programs run by the Adult Training and Support Service provide individualised programs in the areas of ongoing education, literacy, numeracy, self help and independent living skills, art, craft, music drama, communication and computer skills, woodwork, contract packaging, vocational training and open employment support.
Community access programs are also provided. These include activities such as swimming, physical fitness club, bowling, travel training, shopping skills, social club, basketball team, library/internet training, aport, dance music and drama.
Bayley House has many links with other services; Bayside Council, Joint Councils Access for All Abilities Program, local schools.
Futures for Young Adults
The Futures for Young Adults (FFYA) group is located in a relaxed, friendly environment next to the work skills area; a perfect position to integrate clients into a happy work style environment.
Within this group, continuing education such as literacy and numeracy programs operate in conjunction with personal hygiene and grooming, shopping, cooking, self help skills, music, dance, singing, art/craft, drama, computer skills, physical exercise, leisure time skills, swimming, employment skills, community access and general life skills programs.
We offer a wide variety of programs which can be tailored to meet the individual needs of our clients. Our clients are continually challenged to achieve their aspirations and to reach their maximum potential without placing them under undue pressure. Our fully trained staff relate to and communicate extremely well with our futures group and provide enormous opportunities for these people.
