Out and About in the Community
Keeping in touch with your local community is important for everyone, including the people at Bayley House. Over the years we have developed some wonderful relationships within the local Brighton community as well as within the wider Bayside area.
These relationships are rewarding from our people's perspective as it enables them to build friendships, enjoy social events, gain a sense of belonging and participate in the many activities that are offered in our community. The local community also benefits and it is a great way to promote a positive awareness of people with an intellectual disability.
Some of the ways in which we are involved in the community include:
- Sporting activities such as swimming, football, basketball and cricket
- Working experience at local businesses
- Excursions to local parks and other attractions
- Shopping locally
- Visiting the Brighton library and so much more
