Diamond Debutantes
19th of June 2009
The Twelve debutante sets were presented at our Debutante Dinner Dance held on June 17 at the Brighton International. This very special event is held every two years and is a wonderful opportunity for family and friends to celebrate the achievements of the newer members of Bayley House.
Set amongst a theme of Diamonds, our debutantes were presented to Channel 7 news reader Mia Greeves and Travel show host, Geoff Cox in front of 250 family and friends. Everyone, including Coxie and Mia were in awe of their performance, clapping and cheering loudly as our debutantes danced their way around the floor. The months of dedicated practice and hard work paid off and you could not keep the smiles off their faces as they completed their four dances.
Later in the evening all our debutantes had the chance to dance with either Coxie or Mia. This made their night and for many in fact, it was the highlight of the evening. Robbie, one of our Deb set thanked Mia and told her that she was the “diamond in their crown” when he thanked her for joining them, but from the looks on the faces of all those who attended, it was obvious who the diamonds really were.
Special thanks to those who assisted on the night or donated prizes.
