All Sorts at the AGM
5th of October 2007
What a fabulous night!
Our Allstar Theatre Company once again stole the show at our Annual General Meeting which was held on Wednesday 26 September at Rosstrevor Hall, Brighton Grammar School. Based around the theme of ‘Liquorice Allsorts’, the Allstars performed ‘All Sorts’ of songs that soon got the audience cheering and singing along creating an absolutely electric atmosphere.
Dressed in brightly coloured costumes reflecting the theme, the Allstars looked fantastic as they performed in front more than 150 people. Traditional favourites such as YMCA, Mamma Mia and Rock around the Clock followed songs from Annie, The Lion King and many other musicals.
Many months of practice and hard work went into making the night so successful but it was all worthwhile as soon as the curtain opened and the crowd began to cheer. It was wonderful to see and wonderful to be a part of.
One audience member commented 'This is my favourite AGM. I look forward to it all year." That sentiment was reflected by others who attended and many of those seeing the Allstars perform for the first time vowed to be back in December for the Carols concert.
The AGM gives the members of the Bayley House community to listen to a review of the year's activities as well as providing the opportunity to thank those who have supported us in many different ways. This year the following Awards were presented:
Honarary Life Membership: Mrs Gwenda Hance
Young Person's Award: Ms Laprini Dimitrakopoulos
Silver Wreath (15 Years service): Mr Paul Bennett, Mrs Pat Fitzgerald-Parker & Mrs Lynn Flynn
