Volunteering at Bayley House

Volunteers are a valued part of the Bayley House team. They generously give their time, skills and expertise to help Bayley House make a difference to the lives of those who use our services.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life, ages and backgrounds. Amongst them are students, relatives and friends, retirees, members of the local community, part-time workers or people wishing to make new friends and gain skills. Some are skilled professionals who want to share their specialist knowledge and experience. all have a passion for supporting people with an intellectual disability.

Volunteers assist in many areas from administration to supporting our programs. Some of the volunteer activities include:

  • Helping in the programs offered by the day service
  • Working with individuals or small groups
  • Serving on committees
  • Participating in community access programs
  • Lending a hand at special event
  • Providing administrative support
  • Assisting with maintenance projects and lots more.
