Finance Officer

The role

As a result of an internal promotion, Bayley House is seeking to appoint an experienced and pro-active Finance Officer.  Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for assisting with the administration of Bayley House’s financial accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, accounts reconciliation, invoicing and banking.  The role is available full time or 4 days per week, with the opportunity for flexible work arrangements. 

About you:

You will have demonstrated experience managing end-to-end financial administration processes, using SAP Business One or a similar financial management system and be proficient in MS Office, especially Excel. 

You will also:

  • Have a strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes, including relevant financial legislation
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when processing financial information
  • Have the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines (including processing cycles)
  • Act professionally, demonstrating confidentiality, tact and discretion at all times
  • Have excellent communication skills and be confident liaising with broad range of stakeholders by telephone, email and face to face
  • Be able to work with little supervision, both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate initiative by recommending and implementing process improvement initiatives, according to operational and legislation requirements
  • Hold a current Police Check, or willingness to obtain
